SUPPORT FOR UNDERGRADUATE THESES

Miki H. Calzadilla Tomianovich
W. Hector Cabrera Condarco
Tatiana B. Miranda
Neill' students
These fellowships provide economic support and mentoring to students conducting undergraduate research theses, enabling them to earn their professional degree from universities in Ecuador, Bolivia, and Peru. MBG Curators in each country serve as mentors and provide advice to fellowship recipients during their research and thesis preparation.

Twelve students are selected each year to receive the fellowships, four in each country. Applicants submit their thesis proposals, which must first be approved by their respective universities.

Students are required to complete their thesis within a maximum of one year. The fieldwork should be conducted in one of MBG's research sites of high biodiversity during a six-month period. The other six months of the fellowship are designated for writing the thesis and for thesis defense.
