 			 Central Asia (Pamiro Alay).  Foothills, rocky and sandy slopes,
			steppes.
			 Plant 15-60 cm.  Rhizome thick.  Leafy stems few, rarely branched,
			woolly-tomentose.  Basal leaves pinnatisect, petiolate, upper leaves
			sessile, lanceolate or linear.  Heads solitary, 2.5 x 1.5 cm, flowers
			bright pink.  V - early spring (some leaves usually overwinter) to
			late autumn.  Fl - April, May in the wild.  Fr - June.  P - by seed.
			Good for the flower bed.  Very drought resistant.  Z 5.  New.
			 J. filicifolia Boiss.
 			 Caucasus (the Greater Caucasus).  On cliffs in alpine zone.
			 Plant 3-5 (-10) cm.  Rhizome branched.  Flowering stem very short.
			Leaves in rosette, oblong with short petiole, pinnatisect or
			pinnatipartite.  Heads large, many-flowered.  Flowers pink-purple.
			V - mid spring to late autumn.  Fl - June- July for 4-5 weeks.  Fr -
			August-September.  P - by seed and division.  Well suited to the rock
			garden.  Z 6 (5).  New.
			 J. monticola Iljn (J. abramovii O. et B. Fedtsch.)
 			 Central Asia (Karatau).  On gravelly slopes, rocky places.
			 Plant 5-15 cm.  Rhizome branched.  Stem leafy ascending.  Rosette
			leaves 1-2.5 cm, numerous, spathulate or oblong, pinnatipartite or
			pinnatilobate, grey green above, grey beneath.  Heads large, solitary,
			flowers pink-purple.  V - mid spring to late autumn.  Fl - mid summer.
			Fr - early autumn.  Good for the rock garden, flower bed.  Drought and
			heat resistant.  Z 6 (5).  New.
