The peak season of spring bloom continues. Flowering cherries in
Seiwa-En, the Japanese Garden are past peak bloom, but still showy.
Daffodils, Hyacinths and early minor bulbs are at peak bloom in the bulb
borders. Tulips are becoming showy.
Redbuds, White redbuds and Serviceberries throughout the grounds are now in
bloom. Some early crabapples and a few early dogwoods are beginning to bloom.
Early azaleas are blooming in the Lopata Azalea and Rhododendron Garden.
Magnolias throughout the grounds are past peak bloom, but many are still showy.
Daffodils, Virginia bluebells, and woodland wildflowers are showy in the
English Woodland Garden.
Large drifts of blue Squill (Scilla siberica) and Glory-of-the-Snow
(Chionodoxa spp.) brighten the understory in the Mausoleum Garden.
