The peak season of spring bloom will continue into mid-May. Daffodils are at peak
bloom in the bulb borders. Tulips are becoming very showy.
Redbuds are in full bloom. Crabapples and dogwoods are beginning to bloom.
Flowering cherries are past peak bloom in the Japanese Garden, but still showy.
Azaleas in the Lopata Rhododendron Garden are becoming showier by the day.
Woodland wildflowers in the English Woodland and Kemper Native Shade Garden are
showy.
Pansies are in full bloom throughout the grounds.
Camellias are past peak bloom in the Linnean House, but some are still showy. Fragrant
Pink jasmine (Jasminum polyanthum) in the hanging baskets perfumes the air in this
conservatory.
