Roses are in full bloom in the Lehmann and Gladney Rose Gardens and throughout
the grounds.
Japanese water iris (Iris ensata) in Seiwa-En are at peak, full
bloom.
Oakleaf hydrangeas (Hydrangea quercifolia) and Smoke trees (Cotinus
coggygria, C. obovatus) are in full bloom in many locations.
Kousa dogwoods (Cornus kousa) are past peak bloom, but many are still
showy throughout the grounds.
The fragrant blossoms of Farges catalpa (Catalpa fargesii) and Bigleaf
linden (Tilia platyphyllos) perfume the air in the Knolls.
A few early daylilies are beginning to bloom in the Jenkins Daylily Garden.
Peak bloom in this garden typically occurs two weeks before and two weeks
after the Fourth of July.
