The Alwyn H. Gentry Bignoniaceae Specimen Data Set Structure of the Excel Files This database is a modified subset of TROPICOS, the Missouri Botanical Garden's taxonomic database. Most of the data was derived and corrected from Al Gentry's database, and stored originally in dBase (.DBF) format. In 2001, the files were reformatted into Excel format. In the column TYPE, C refers to a character string and N refers to a numeric string.
