The labels of the collection are written by the peculiar handwriting of N.S.Turczaninow, with the abbreviated signature: "Turcz.". A part of the sheets has the printed tags: "Herbarium proprium Turczaninovii", apparently, glued later.
The duplicates of the collection were widely sent to Russian and foreign botanists, including A.P. de Candolle and A. de Candolle.
The Siberian collection served as the base of the work:
Turczaninow N.S. Flora baicalensi-dahurica. 1842-1856.
An extensive N.S.Turczaninow's herbatium, including collections of different persons from different regions of the world, is kept in the Institute of Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (KW).
