Tropical water lilies are in full bloom in the Milles Sculpture Garden.
Tardiva hydrangeas (Hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva') are blooming
in many locations throughout the grounds.
Summer bulbs are showy in the Intensive Gardens. Colorful foliage of unusual
caladiums (Caladium sp.) and elephant ears (Alocasia sp.,
Colocasia sp., Xanthosoma sp.) add to the floral display.
Roses in the Gladney and Lehmann Rose Gardens are at the peak of seasonal
bloom and very showy.
Figs (Ficus carica 'Brown Turkey) are ripening high above the Moorish garden
in the Shoenberg Temperate House. Deep red coleus (Solenostemon
scuttelariodes 'Oxblood') surrounds the tiled fountain, and fragrant
jasmine (Jasminum tortuosum) cascades over the wall.
Colorful impatiens (Impatiens 'Showstopper Series') and the bold
foliage of Rex begonias carpet the beds beneath the camellia trees.
