NOTE: some chemical names are masculine), abl. sg. -ate: Latin words;

- carbonas,-atis (s.m.III), carbonate; nitras,-atis (s.m.III), nitrate; sulphas,-atis (s.m.III), sulphate.

- asperitas,-atis (s.f.III), abl. sg. asperitate: asperity,roughness; extremitas,-atis (s.f.III), abl. sg. extremitate: end, extremity; profunditas,-atis (s.f.III), abl. sg. profunditate, profundity, depth; societas,-tatis (s.f.III), abl. sg. societate, society; sodalitas,-atis (s.f.III), abl.sg. sodalitate, sodality.

- humanitas,-atis (s.f.III), abl.sg. humanitate: humanity, human kind.

(Generic) noun-compounds ending in -ceras,-atis (s.n.III), from the Greek, -horn,- horned, are declined with the pecularities of neuter nouns, specifically the acc. sg. Is the same as the nom. sg.:

 Aceras,-atis (s.n.III) (Orchidaceae)‘lacking horns or spurs:’

Generic names ending in –ceras,-atis as neuter third nouns include Aegiceras,-atis (s.n.III); Anthoceras,-atis (s.n.III); Notoceras,-atis (s.n.III); Octoceras,-atis (s.n.III): see ceras,-atis (s.n.III).

NOTE: - erysipelas (s.n.III), gen.sg. erysipelatis = Gk. erysipelas,-atos: “a reddish eruption on the skin, St. Anthony’s fie” (Lewis & Short); “The disease erysipelas” (Glare).
