Amnis,-is (s.m.III), abl. sg. amne, gen.pl. amnium: torrent, rapidly flowing river; see river;

- amnes in aequora currentes, torrents running into level places (acc. pl.).

- amnes nubigeni, (torrential) rivers born of the clouds.

- in montibus Flinders et Elders Range nec non ad amnem Crystal Brook (F.Muell.), and also the Crystal Brook.

- in collibus ad amnem Delatite (C. Muell.), in the hills at the river Delatite.

- in pratis passim inundatis et secus fluviorum amniumque ripas per Australiam occidentali-septentrionalem (C, Muell.), here and there in inundated grasslands and along the banks of streams and rivers throughout western-northern Australia.
