A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Monialis,-is (s.f.III), abl.sg. moniale, nom. & acc. pl. moniales, gen.pl. monialium; a nun, “a member of a religious community of women, especially a cloistered one, living under vows of poverty, chastity, and obedience” (on-line Dictionary Feb. 2019); = ascetria,-ae (s.f.I), q.v.;

- Decembri mense, in nemore Monialium Divae Ursulae (Mich.), in the December month, in the grove of the nuns of Saint Ursula.

- ultra Juguli Plebaniam in Castaneto Monialium Divæ Felicitatis, & in umbrosis ambulacris viridarii Boboli (Dill.), beyond the Plebania Juguli in the Chestnut [Castanea] grove of the nuns of the Saint Felicity, and in the shaded promenade of the Viridarium [i.e. Garden] of Boboli.

- Аd Ulmos, mense Оctobri, in Casiniani Paroecia, in nemore Мопialium Divae Felicitatis, nuncupato ‘il Воso di Bruco’ (Mich.), on Elms in the month of October, in the Casinian Parish, in the woodland grove of the nuns of Saint Felicity, called ‘il Boso di Bruco.’

- in Мonialium Divae Felicitatis nemore, per Divi Zenobii Рагоеciam, Меnse Оctobri (Mich.), in the grove of the nuns of Saint Felicity, throughout the Parish of Saint Zenobius, in the October month.
