Native (Eng.noun; i.e. people or species), pl. natives:

Aborigines, gen. pl. aboriginum (pl.m.III) [ab-origo] “the primeval Romans, the Aborigines; the ancestors of the Romans; original inhabitants (Lewis & Short);

- Sinum Moretón Bay versus in silvis prope Durando, W. Hill. "Tandah" et "Taandal" aboriginum (F. Mueller), toward the gulf Moreton Bay in the forests near Durando, W. Hill. “Tandah” and “Taandal” of the aborigines.

Autochthones,-um (m.pl.III), dat.pl. autochthonibus, acc.pl. autochthones, abl.pl. autochthonibus: = Gk. autochthones: aborigines, = Lat. indigenae (Lewis & Short) [> Gk. autochthOn,-on (Gk.adj.) ‘sprung from the land itself;’ native, indigenous; autochthones (m.pl.III), not settlers; of native stock” (after Liddell & Scott)];

- autochthones seminibus maceratis tostisque utuntur (F. Mueller), the native peoples use the soaked [i.e. softened by soaking] and parched [i.e. toasted] seeds.

Incola,-ae (s.c.I), abl.sg. incola: [= first declension noun] dweller, inhabitant, a native; also an alien or foreign resident, according to the context;

- [Canna indica; arrow-root] Incolae índiae occidentalis ex radice in aqua macerata & elota, amylum parant praestantissimum (Swartz), The inhabitants of the West Indies prepare, from the root macerated in water and cleaned [i.e. removal of paper-like scales on tubers], a most excellent starch.

Indigena,-ae (s.c.I), abl. sg. indigena, nom.pl. indigenae, acc.pl. indigenas: a native, born in a country, indigene, belonging to ones own country;

- species ad 20, Europae, Asiae Minoris, Persiae, et Sibiriae indigenae, multae valde variabiles (B&H), species to 20, natives of Europe, Asia Minor, of Persia and Sibiria, many very variable.

Insulanus,-i (s.m.II), abl.sg. insulano: an islander, native to the islands;

- [Tremella marina umbilicata. The Navel Laver] ad rupes & in arenosis nascens, quam Insulani cum butyro coctam comedunt (Dill.), growing on rocks and in sandy places, which the islanders eat cooked with butter.

Insularius,-ii (s.m.II), abl.sg. insulario: a tenant of an island (Lewis & Short), an islander
