A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

Tendentia,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. tendentia: tendency, a direction or course toward a place, object, effect, or result; propensity, a proneness [> Mediaeval Latin tendentia > L. tendens to tend];

- (alga) tendentia frondis centrifugali (Agardh), the tendency [i.e. course of development] of the frond centrifugal.

- [algae] sed praecipue in Polysiphonia manifestatur tendentia haec spiralis; (Agardh), but especially in Polysiphonia this spiral tendency is plain.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
