volutus,-a,-um (part.A): rolled about, rolled up together, formed by rolling; “rolled up in any way” (Lindley); “with rolled leaves” (Stearn 1996) [> L. volvo, volvi, volutum, 3. “to roll, turn about, turn round, tumble anything;; to roll up or together, form by rolling; to breathe, exhale; to turn or roll itself round about, to turn or roll along; to roll, roll along; to turn over or revolve in the mind; to ponder, meditate or reflect upon, consider” (Lewis & Short)];

- qui volventes orbem, forming a circle.

- volventes in animo, turning in the mind, pondering.

- volventes mente aliquid, turning something around in the mind, pondering.

Volutus,-us (s.m.IV), abl.sg. volutu: “a rolling, the power of rolling, twisting, or turning about” [as of serpents] (Lewis & Short).
