flaxen, made of flax, linen: linteus,-a,-um (adj.A); byssaceus,-a,-um (adj.A): “composed of fine entangled threads.”
flaxen: “made of flax; resembling flax esp. in being of pale soft strawy color - used chiefly of the hair, as in flaxen curls; of or relating to flax” (WIII): lineus,-a,-um (adj.A), linteus,-a,-um (adj.A); (of color, the color of tow or flax) stuppeus,-a,-um (adj.A; also stupeus,-a,-um (adj.A)); cf. byssinus,-a,-um (adj.A), the yellow of raw silk (Stearn 1983); also lineus,-a,-um (ajd.A): from linum, made of flax or lint, flaxen, linen-;.

- substantia stuposo -fibrosa , e filamentis longiusculis evidenter contexta, the flesh tow-like-fibrous, evidently constructed from rather long filaments.
