Labium,-ii (s.n.II), abl.sg. labio, nom. & acc. pl. labia, dat. & abl. pl. labiis: “the lower lip of a labiate corolla” (Lindley); ); “the lower lip of a Labiate flower; 2. the lip subtending the ligule in Isoetes” (Jackson); lower (abaxial) lip of the two in the corolla in Labiatae, labium [> L. labis (or labea),-ae (s.f.I) and labium,-ii (s.n.II), abl.sg. labio: a lip, cf. labrum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. labro: a lip; an edge, margin, brim (of a vessel, a ditch, etc.; a trench)” (Lewis & Short)];

- labium superius 7.5 mm longum, 9.5 mm latum, suborbiculare, leviter 4-lobatum, upper lip 7.5 mm long, 9.5 mm wide, suborbicular, slightly 4-lobed.

- labium inferius trilobum, lower lip trilobed.

- lobuli labii inferioris 3 mm longi, lobules of the lower lip 3 mm long.

- labio inferiore máximo 3 - lobo (Swartz), with the lower labium very large, 3-lobed.

- labium inferius amplum,corolla duplo longius, patens, 'undulatum, leviter 3-lobum. L. superius oblongo -lanceolatum, retusum, corolla longius, rectum, antheriferum (Swartz), the lower lip large, two times longer than the corolla, spreading, undulate, lightly 3-lobed. Upper labium oblong-lanceolate, retuse, longer than the corolla, straight, antherbearing.

- anthera labio sup. nectarii in medio adnata (Swartz), anther adnate to the upper lip of the nectarium in the middle.

- nectarium 2-phylIum 1. 2-labiatum. Labium inferius sub lacinia superiore corollae insertum, patens, erectiusculum, integrum 1- 3 - lobum. (Swartz), nectarium 2-leaved, 1-2-lipped. the lower lip inserted under the upper lacinia of the corolla, spreading, nearly erect, entire, 1-3-lobed.

- labium necti. inf. maximum, propendens; superius, cui anthera insidet, majus, magisque latum quam in reliquis (Swartz), the lower lip of the nectarium very large, hanging down; the upper on which the anther is situated, larger and more wide than in the rest.

- labio inferiore latiore, apice convexo, tripartito: intermedia emarglnata (Swartz), the lower lip wider, at the apex convex, three-parted: the intermediate one notched.

- [Grevillea] calyces lobis in labium spathulato-orbicularem subcucullatum cohaerentibus (F. Mueller), the calyxes with the lobes pressed together into a spathulate-orbicular, somewhat cucullate lip.
