A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
mucronulatus,-a,-um (adj.A): mucronulate, with a minute mucro, i.e. brevissime mucronatus (very shortly mucronate); cf. rostellatus,-a,-um (adj.A), provided with a small beak;

- folia apice obtuso mucronulata, leaves at the obtuse apex minutely mucronate.

- phyllodiis parvis tenuicoriaceis oblique triangularibus vel trapezoideis mucronulatis (F Mueller), with phyllodia small, thinly-crusted obliquely triangular or trapezoidal, with a minute mucro.

- stipulis petiolos aliquoties superantibus mucronulato-acuminatis (F. Mueller), with the stipules several times over-topping the petioles, mucronulate-acuminate.

- foliis superioribus linearibus recurvo-mucronulatis (F. Mueller), with the upper leaves linear, recurved-mucronulate [i.e. with a minute, recurved mucro].

- foliis patulis confertis canaliculatis reverso-mucronulatis (B&H), with the leaves patulous, close, canaliculate, reversed-mucronulate [i.e. with the mucro strongly bent back (inverted), more strongly than recurved].

- foliis angusto-lanceolatis v. linearibus uncinato-mucronulatis (F. Mueller), with the leaves narrowly lanceolate or linear, hooked-mucronulate.

- antheris mucronulatis (F. Mueller), with the anthers provided with a tiny mucro.

- stigmate laterali orbiculari-ovali medio mucronulato ceterum exappendiculato. (F. Mueller), with the stigma lateral, orbicular-oval, with a short point in the middle, otherwise without an appendage.

- foliis suborbicularibus v. obcordatis muticis v. breviter mucronulatis (F. Mueller), with the leaves nearly orbicular or obcordate, muticous or shortly mucronulate.

- foliis curvulis mucronulo deciduo terminatis (F. Mueller), with the leaves somewhat curved, terminated with a deciduous point.
