A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Nervule, small unbranched nerve, nervelet: nervillus,-i (s.m.II), abl.sg. nervillo; nervulus,-i (s.m.II), abl.sg. nervulo; see veinlet;

- nervilli evidentes liberi fere per totam longitudinem sporangiferi, nervilli evident free sporangiferous almost through the whole length.

- nervilli e costula angulo acuto egredientes, nervilli going out from the costule at an acute angle.

- folia nervis distantibus subarcuatis, nervulis transversis crebris tenuibus (B&H), leaves with the nerves distant, nearly arcuate, with transverse [i.e. crosswise], dense, thin nervules.

- folia nervulis transversis striata (B&H), leaves striate with with transverse nervules.

- folia nervis crebris parallelis, nervulis transversis subtiliter lineata (B&H), leaves with the nerves dense, parallel, lightly lined with transverse nervules.

 

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
