A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
ochroleucus: ochre-white; “yellowish-white” (Fernald 1950); “the same as ‘ochraceus,’ but much whiter” (Lindley);

- clavula filiformis tenax 10 mm. longa fistulosa ochroleuca, club thread-like, tough 10 mm. long, fistular, ochre-white.

- Cinnamomea plerumque colore tamen etiam variat luteo , flavo , imo ochroleuco (S&A), usually cinnamon, yet the color also varies to [orange-] yellow, [red-] yellow, or even yellowish-white.

- Nostra centro plerumque satis vivide flava , versus margines dilutior ochroleuca (S&A), ours with the center usually quite brightly yellow, toward the margins a more dilute [i.e. pale] yellowish-white.

- flores gracile pedicellati, majusculi, ochroleuci, venis purpuréis (B&H), the flowers slender, pedicellate, somewhat large, yellowish-white with the veins purple.

- corollae cosrulescentes purpurescentes ochroleucae v. albidae. (B&H), the corollas bluish, purplish, whitish-yellow or whitish.
