A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
paulum (paullum) (adv.): a little, somewhat; opp. multum (adv.), much, greatly; see somewhat;

- folia breviter petiolata, paullum concava, crassiuscula, glaberrima (Swartz), the leaves shortly petiolate, somewhat concave, somewhat thick, completely glabrous.

- corolla subcampanulata, paullum compressa (Swartz), the corolla nearly campanulate, somewhat compressed.

- folia paullum pubescentia, the leaves a little pubescent.

- perpaulum (adv.): a very little indeed.

- capsula paulum aucta (Swartz), (of an illustration), capsule somewhat magnified.

- theca paullum longior pellucida laevis straminea (Mueller), theca somewhat longer, pellucid, smooth, straw-color.
Paulum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. paulo: a little, a trifle, a bit; a small part.
