A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
petiolatus,-a,-um (adj.A): petiolate, stalked; (leaf) provided with a petiole;

- folia brevipetiolata, coriacea v. membranacea (B&H), leaves short-petiolate, leathery or membranaceous.

- foliis confertis breviter petiolatis (F. Mueller), with the leaves packed together, shortly petiolate.

- foliis ovatis obtusis quadrifariam imbricatis brevissime petiolatis (F. Mueller), with the leaves ovate, obtuse, imbricate in four rows, very shortly petiolate.

- involucri foliola sessilia aat petiolata (DeCandolle), the leaflets of the involucre sessile or petiolate.

- foliis radicalibus 3-5 sectis, segmentis sub-3-fidis inciso-dentatis, involucralibus subpetiolatis (DeCandolle), with the basal leaves 3-5, divided [to the base], with the segments almost 3-fid, incised-dentate, with the involucral ones almost petiolate.

- folia palmata longius petiolata (DeCandolle), leaves palmate, more longly petiolate.
