plinthobius,-a,-um (adj.A): [> Gk. plinthos (s.f.II; note feminine gender) a brick; = Lat. later; plintho- + bios (s.m.II) the manner or means of living; one's living, livelihood, living on bricks]; see -bius,-a,-um (adj.A); see brick. Desmatodon plinthobius, a moss whose epithet "refers to the brick of pavements where Ravenel first found the species in Charleston, [South Carolina]" (C&A).

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
