segmented: sectus,-a,-um (part.A) 'cut'; segmentatus,-a,-um (adj.A); articulatus,-a,-um (part.A) TO DO; lobatus,-a,-um (adj.A); jointed?

(in hepatics) “of an oil-body, composed of several discrete globules which make the surrounding membrane bulge outwards; of almost homogeneous oil-bodies that appear to be obscurely divided” (Paton); cf. granular (in hepatics) “appearing to consist of minute rounded granules; of an oil-body consisting of microscopic globules which do not (or scarcely) make the surrounding membrane bulge outwards” (Paton).

- vagina amylacea segmentata e partibus duabus vel pluribus composita, with a starchy, segmented sheath composed of two or more parts.

- propter structuram segmentatam, because of the segmented structure.
