A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
siliquosus,-a,-um (adj.A): siliquose, “when the fruit is a silique, or resembles one” (Jackson).

- [Capparis] C. fructu baccato; C. fructu siliquoso [C. = Capparis] (Swartz), Capparis, with the fruit baccate [i.e. resembling a berry; fleshy]; Capparis with the fruit [resembling] a silicle.

Capparis siliquosa

- [Bignonia] Nerio affinis arbor siliquosa, fol. palmato s. dígitato, flore albo (Swartz), a SILIQUOSE tree related to Nerius [i.e. in Cactaceae], with the leaf palmate or digitate, with the flower white.

Ceratopteris siliquosa; Lysimachia siliquosa = Epilobium hirsutum, also E. parviflorum, E. tetragonum, and E. montanum in early treatments; Oxalis siliquosa
