A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

subpercurrent, extending to just below the apex, as in the costa or midnerve of a moss: subpercurrens,-entis (part.A) [> L. subpercurro, subper(cu)curri, subpercursum, 3, to nearly run rough; to form a nearly continuous line, to almost pass through]; cf. excurrent, ‘extending beyond the apex;’ cf. percurrent, ‘extending the whole length of an organ but not continued beyond it;’

- nervo in medio folii evanido vel subpercurrente, with the nerve disappearing in the middle of the leaf to subpercurrent.

subpercursus,-a,-um (part.A): nearly run through, subpercurrent, i.e. extended nearly the whole length of an organ, extended to just before the apex.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
