A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

superfundens,-entis (part.B): pouring over, covering [> L. superfundo,-udi, -fusum 3, “to pour over or upon; to pour itself out, overflow; to spread out, scatter, extend; to pour or spread one (thing) over (another)” (Lewis & SHort); “to pour over the surface; to cover (a surface) with something poured over it; often with dative; passive: to pour over the brim, spill over” (after Glare);

- antequam contumacis lentaeque durititae semina solo committat, aquam defundit in catinum, nitri modicum superfundit ac distabescere sinit (Ray), before he would commit seeds of resistant and persistent hardness to the soil, he pours out water into a [cooking-]pot, pours over [it] a little bit of natron and it is allowed to gradually soften.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
