- folia in extremitatibus ramulorum tantum, leaves at the ends of the branches only (Stearn 1983).

- foliis tantum modice pilosis, with the leaves only moderately pilose.

- indumento tempore florendi in nervis primariis tantum persistenti, with the indumentum at the time of flowering on primary nerves alone persisting.

- fructus seminunum tantum efferens, fruit only one seed producing.

- sporophyta setam unam tantum efferentia, sporophytes producing only one seta.

non tantum ... sed (etiam)..., ‘not only ... but (also)...;’

- petala non tantum clare rosea, sed etiam translucentia, the petals not only a bright pink, but also translucent.

- non tantum in truncis ramisque dejectis putredine tactis vulgaris est; sed et in foliis aliisque quisquiliis humi jacentibus udis (S&A), not only is it common on fallen trunks and branches touched with rot, but also on wet leaves and other litter fallen on the ground.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
