A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
Toxin, a poisonous product of animal or vegetable cells which, when injected into an animal, causes antibody formation; such antibodies are called antitoxins WIII: toxinum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. toxino; see poison;

- aflatoxinum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. aflatoxino: aflatoxin.

- aflatoxina B et G atque acidum cyclopiazonicum efferente, by producing aflatoxins B and G and also cyclopiazonic acid.

- endotoxinum-i (s.n.II), phytotoxinum,-i (s.n.II), zootoxinum,-i (s.n.II). antidotum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. antidoto: a counterpoison, a remedy, antidote; antitoxinum,-i (s.n.II), abl. sg. antitoxino: antitoxin.
