A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
vesicularis,-e (adj.B): bladder-like, inflated, bladdery, q.v.; (in bryology) “composed of blisters” (Magill 1990);

- arbores calycibus glandulis vesicularibus oleo volatili foetis instructae (DeCandolle), trees provided with calyces with vesicular [i.e. bladder-like] glandules full of a volatile oil.

Vesicularia vesicularis (Schwaegr.) Broth. in Engl. & Prantl, in reference to the lax areolation of the leaf cells.

vesiculatus,-a,-um (adj.A): bladder-like, in pollen-grains synonymous with alate, saccate and winged (Kiger & Porter 2001).

vesiculiformis,-e (adj.B): bladder-shaped, inflated.

vesiculosus,-a,-um (adj.A): vesiculose, inflated, bladderlike; covered with or full of little bladders or blisters; (in bryology) “inflated, bladderlike” (Magill 1990); cf. pustulosus,-a,-um (adj.A).
