A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

 
vinose (adv.): winey, wine-colored;

- [lichen] gelatina hymenea iodo coerulescens, dein vinose rubens (Nyl.), the hymenial gelatin turning blue in iodine, finally becoming a wine-colored red.

- [lichen] gelatina hymenea iodo vinose luteo-rubescens (praecedente coerulescentia obsoleta) (Nyl.), the hymenial gelatin in iodine wine-colored yellowish-red (in the preceding scarcely apparent, turning blue).
vinose, full of vines: vinosus,-a,-um (adj.A); also (pharm.) ‘pertaining to wine’ (Bennitt); “vinous, (fungi) like dark-red wine in color” (S&D);

- fungus spongiosus niger, pannum laneum textura simulans, doliolis vinosis adnascens (Dill.), a spongy fungus, [shining] black, resembling a woollen cloth in texture, growing on small wine casks.

Cyathus vinosus, (pharm.) a wineglassful.

NOTE: vinosus also is 'wine-colored', see vinaceus,-a,-um (adj.A) above.
