A Grammatical Dictionary of Botanical Latin

Viscum,-i (s.n.II): “Latin name for mistletoe (Viscaceae) (Stearn 1996); see viscid.
Viscum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. visco: “Latin name for mistletoe (Viscaceae)” (Stearn 1996); “either of two plants (Loranthus eruopaeus and Viscum album) parasitic on trees, mistletoe; bird-lime made from the berries of mistle-toe; applied also to other sticky substances” (Glare); see viscid; see viscus,-i (s.m.II);

- Visci albi praeprimis folia, dum colorem suum languescentia magis magisque in luteum mutant (S&A), most especially the leaves of Viscum album [i.e. Mistletoe), while withering, change their own color more and more into yellow.

A work in progress, presently with preliminary A through R, and S, and with S (in part) through Z essentially completed.
