Wart, small: verrucula,-ae (s.f.I), abl.sg. verrucula; tuberculum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. tuberculo, nom. & acc. pl. tubercula, dat. & abl. pl. tuberculis: tubercle, a small swelling, boil, wart.

pertaining to warts: verrucularis,-e (adj.B), tubercularis,-e (adj.B).

wart-like: tuberculiformis,-e (adj.A), verruciformis,-e (adj.B).

warty: colliculosus,-a,-um (adj.A), colliculatus,-a,-um (adj.A), bumpy, beset with little rounded or hillock-like elevations or swellings; “[obsol.] covered by little round elevations or hillocks” (Lindley); tuberculatus,-a,-um (adj.A), verrucatus,-a,-um (adj.A), verrucosus,-a,-um (adj.A), phymatodeus,-a,-um (adj.A);

- protuberationibus verrucatis, with warty protuberances.

having small warts: verruculatus,-a,-um (adj.A).
Wart, small swelling or protuberance; “hard or firm excrescences” (Lindley): verruca,-ae (s.f.I), q.v., abl. sg. verruca, nom. & acc. pl. verrucae, dat. & abl. pl. verrucis; cf. tuber,-eris (s.n.III): abl. sing. tubere, nom. & acc. pl. tubera, dat. & abl. pl. tuberibus, 'swelling, protuberance, hump, bump;' see plage; see swelling (noun); tuberculum,-i (s.n.II), abl.sg. tuberculo, nom. & acc. pl. tubercula, dat. & abl. pl. tuberculis: tubercle, a small swelling, boil, wart; “a wart-like shield, such as is found in the genus Verrucaria; (obs.) any kind of small wart-like excrescence” (Lindley);

- basidiosporae et plaga subapicali et verrucis humilibus amyloideis praeditae, basidiospores provided with a subapical plage and low, amyloid warts.

Caruncle, “a wart or protuberance round or near the hilum of a seed” (Lindley); a little piece of flesh; a small, fleshy growth; a naked fleshy outgrowth” WIII: caruncula,-ae (s.f.I), abl. sg. caruncula, nom.pl. carunculae, acc.pl. carunculas, dat. & abl.pl. carunculis [dim. of L. caro,-onis (s.f.III), abl. sg. carone: flesh].

Epiphysis (Eng.noun), q.v.: “(obsol.) warts or protuberances growing round the hilum or foramen of certain seeds. Same as Strophiolae” (Lindley): epiphysis,-is (s.f.III), abl. sg. epiphyse, nom.& acc. pl. epiphyses; see strophiole.

Rosula,-ae (s.f.I), “(obsol.) little warts on the thallus of Lichens” (Lindley).

NOTE: warts may be unattached pieces of the universal veil which remain of the cap of mushrooms such as Amanita.
