C. philippinense Broth. in Warb.
[There is no primary source reporting this species from Thailand.
Tan & Iwatsuki (1993) reported it from the country by citing
the references of Touw (1968) and Tixier (1971). The latter two
authors did not report this species from Thailand, but only reported
Calyptothecium crispulum, C. urvilleanum, and other
species of the genus. Tan & Iwatsuki (1993) treated Calyptothecium
urvilleanum as a synonym of C. philippinense, which
could be considered an indirect source to support their report
of the species from the country. Hyvönen (1989c) recognized
Calyptothecium urvilleanum as a distinct species and placed
C. crispulum under its synonymy. He reduced Calyptothecium
philippinense to the synonymy of C. recurvulum. In
contrast, Tan & Iwatsuki (1993) accepted C. crispulum
and C. philippinense as two distinct species. In this checklist
Hyvönen's (1989c) treatment is followed, and consequently,
Calyptotheciumphilippinense does not occur in Thailand].

and listed two species under it from Thailand. Eddy (1990) reduced
Chionoloma latifolium to a synonym of Pseudosymblepharis
